A non-fungible token is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not interchangeable. A very technological answer but in Layman's terms - think of the digital artwork being minted into a token and excisting on a computer network and have a smart ledger that records everything about the artwork , each transaction as well as all special conditions. This token can then be traded and becomes very benefical for artists as well as investor. The "minted" artwork remains unique and highly collectable. NFTs can be used to represent items such as Art, photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files.

These are the options : You can declare both the Physical and Digital Art Piece as UNIQUE and both can be sold together or separately. Some artists create the Physical Art piece , digitalize it and then destroy the physical art and only the digital is available to purchase. In these cases the creation process is recorded and will form part as unlockable content with the NFT. Some artists do not want to destroy the physical art piece and would rather use it as a neccesary tool to create the art piece and then digitalize the end product. The digital piece will then be regarded as the only art piece and the physical painting will not be included in the sale. In this example the physical piece is not the final artwork but the starting point for digital enhancement. For example you use the phyiscal asrt piece or parts of it to create a digital animation etc. The outcome would then be the final unique digital artwork. In the last example it can also be turned around to create a digital artwork first then add an additional physical representation ie a token with high quality prints of the digital art piece.

Each digital NFT artwork of mine have a special conditions added to them , where the buyer can download the High Resolution Original artwork as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.
